In this podcast we will be going over the April testing self-defense requirements. White through Purple Belt will perform self-defense against a front choke. Purple through Black Belts will perform self-defense against a front choke with a counter-attack.
Board Break Techniques White through Purple Belt will perform a palm heel strike and a #2 front kick. Purple through Black Belt Recommended will perform Reverse Palm heel strike, and a Step #1 jump front kick Black Belts will perform Vertical downwards palm heel, #4 jump side kick
CLMA Weapons This Podcast In this podcast we will be going over the April testing weapons requirements. White through Purple Belt will perform with the single chuck. Purple through Black Belt Recommended will perform with the double chuck. Black Belts will perform as follows (unless testing for rank then the whole form is required): 1st degree- ½ form with single chuck 2nd degree-1/2 form with double chuck 3rd Degree- bo staff
CLMA CARES
We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation. All of our staff are proactively working to minimize the risk of COVID-19 to protect everyone in our CLMA family-students, parents/family, and staff. We have implemented additional measures to include extra disinfection using hospital-grade solutions and we will not be using kick shields or tombstones in classes. Wavemasters will be used but will be disinfected between all classes. Even though handshakes are customary in martial arts, during this pandemic, we will be refraining from using them. Please don’t take this as a sign of disrespect, but as an additional measure we are taking.
