When we signed our than 4 year old up for Taekwondo classes 2 years ago, we were hoping it would help him come out of his shell. He has always been a shy child and we wanted him to gain more self confidence before he started school.  The first couple of Tiny Tiger classes he hid behind my legs and would not participate. Mr. Craft adapted his teaching style towards our son's shyness and this allowed his comfort level to quickly grow. Soon he was participating in class with others. Within the first month of classes we noticed a change in his personality.  He was focused and eager to learn the self defense material.  My husband and I along with our other two daughters started taking classes as well.  Some benefits we have gained from our training include: increased self confidence, respect for others, self control, self respect, focus, goal achievement and weight loss.  Something we didn't expect to gain but has been a nice surprise is the bond we've developed with our fellow classmates and instructors.

This tournament season our family achieved the State Champion title; even the 6 year old!  We were shocked and thrilled to see our son's self confidence as he competed in many tournaments in front of hundreds of strangers! (The girls have no problem performing in front of others!) That in itself was a huge accomplishment! It was a lot of training and hard work for someone so young but it was a goal that he decided he wanted to achieve.  Words cannot express how awesome it is too see something spark determination and drive in your children.  Thank you to the instructors who helped us achieve this family goal. You are all truly Changing Lives!
