Reasons for training with Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts:
I started training with Changing Lives ATA Martial Arts to fulfill a child hood dream of reaching Black Belt. Once I achieved the rank it wasn’t enough, I wanted to teach. I wanted to make a difference and pass on the knowledge that was given to me by my instructors. So through my child hood dream I found my life long passion.
My next Martial Arts testing date:
June-July 2012 for 4th Degree
A quick story about training with Senior Master Thomas:
First I want to start by saying that Senior Master Thomas is very much so a serious Martial Artist, and like all serious Martial Artists he knows the value of repetition in anything that you do. I remember when I was a Brown Belt working out doing jump hooks kicks. We were kicking X-ray paper that night I must have completed five or six hundred jump hook kicks. Half way through the work out I started to get light headed and exhausted. Senior Master came over and noticed my pupils were dilated and he told me to get some water and have a seat. I didn’t know why I was having such a hard time with the workout, I was in good shape, I ran and exercised quite often. I raised my hand to continue and during my workout Senior Master came by and told me that I was holding my breath. I realized then that the reason that I was having a hard time with the workout is because I wasn’t breathing.
